Understand how to invert 7th chords.
Essential Knowledge
• Like triads, 7th chords can be inverted by changing the order of their notes.
• We know that a 7th chord is in root position if, like major and minor triads, all of the intervals between its notes are either 3H or 4H. If we see an interval of 2H, we know we have an inverted 7th chord.
